Buy Furniture in Brazil: Ask About Delivery and Assembly
A few measurements and delivery questions help you check whether a piece will fit your room and how it will arrive.

The short answer
Largura is width, altura is height, and profundidade is depth. Ask for the measurements and compare them with your room, elevator, and doorway if those affect the delivery.
Check dimensions before buying
Use centímetros for centimeters and metros for meters. Repeat the unit as well as the number to avoid confusing a compact item with a much larger one.
Qual é a largura e a profundidade deste armário?
What are the width and depth of this cabinet?
Este sofá passa por uma porta de oitenta centímetros?
Will this sofa fit through an eighty-centimeter doorway?
Ask how delivery is scheduled
Entrega is delivery and prazo de entrega is delivery timeframe. Ask for the expected date and whether the store gives a time window. Delivery coverage and scheduling rules vary by retailer and address.
Confirm which address the store has on file and ask whether someone must be present to receive the item.
Qual é o prazo de entrega para este endereço?
What is the delivery timeframe for this address?
Vocês avisam o horário aproximado no dia da entrega?
Will you let me know the approximate time on the delivery day?
Confirm assembly and what the price includes
Montagem means assembly. Ask whether it is included in the price, offered separately, or handled by the buyer. If the store offers a service, confirm what items are covered and how to schedule it.
Review the order summary for the chosen model, color, delivery address, fees, and services before confirming.
A montagem está incluída ou é cobrada à parte?
Is assembly included, or is it charged separately?
O pedido inclui a montagem deste móvel?
Does the order include assembly of this piece of furniture?
Put it into practice
Check the measurements, delivery timeframe, and assembly terms for the exact item and address before you place the order.
