Pretensão salarial means salary expectation. You can state a range with entre X e Y, then say that the final number depends on the responsibilities and compensation package. Use bruto for gross salary and líquido for net pay; be clear which one you mean.

If you hear a number quickly, repeat it and confirm whether it is before or after deductions. Asking for clarification is more useful than agreeing to an amount you have not understood.
