The short answer
Prioridade means priority. To ask what should come first, compare the tasks directly: Qual dessas tarefas é prioridade? (Which of these tasks is the priority?) or O que devo fazer primeiro? (What should I do first?).
Name the two tasks you are comparing
A concrete comparison makes the answer easier. Mention the deadline or dependency if one task affects another.
Qual dessas tarefas é prioridade para hoje?
Which of these tasks is the priority for today?
Devo terminar o relatório ou responder aos clientes primeiro?
Should I finish the report or reply to the clients first?
Qual entrega tem o prazo mais próximo?
Which deliverable has the closest deadline?
Repeat the chosen order and explain the trade-off
After receiving an answer, repeat the order back so you can check that you understood. If moving one task forward delays another, state the trade-off and ask whether that is the intended plan.
Use então (so / in that case) to connect the answer to your next action. It makes a short workplace exchange sound organized.
Então vou finalizar o relatório agora e deixo as respostas para depois.
Then I’ll finish the report now and leave the replies for later.
Se eu fizer isso primeiro, a apresentação fica para amanhã. Tudo bem?
If I do this first, the presentation will move to tomorrow. Is that okay?
Entendi. Vou priorizar a entrega para hoje.
Understood. I’ll prioritize today’s deliverable.
Put it into practice
