Confirm the details before you arrive
Repeat the key condition in a short sentence: Então, posso levar a Mel se ela ficar na guia? (So, I can bring Mel if she stays on the leash?). Then ask whether there is anything else the staff wants you to know.
A courteous question gives the business a chance to explain its policy. Confirm first instead of arriving with an unverified assumption.
